    01.08.2009 - GEDORE anniversary promotion – rugged box with new ratchet

    GEDORE was one of the first companies to market socket sets. These were known throughout Germany as “socket boxes” and are still referred to in Germany as “GEDORE boxes”. From the company’s establishment in 1919, ninety years of knowledge and experience have flowed into the production of GEDORE socket sets. That’s good enough reason for us to make this special offer in 2009 – the company’s ninetieth anniversary year.

    A limited-edition, 20-piece ½” drive socket set has been carefully put together for the most common applications. Available as article number 1919-90, the set is entirely made in Germany – made in Remscheid – made by GEDORE.

    The highlight in the anniversary set is the design-orientated, precision-geared 1993 U-20 premium ratchet . The compact, tear-shaped ratchet head is ideal for use in the most confined of spaces and features ball locking and a practical push-button release for secure attachment and quick release of square-drive sockets, extensions and adapters. A reversing lever selects clockwise/anticlockwise turning. The ratchet also features an ergonomically formed non-slip 2-component handle.

    The set includes a practical assortment of 15 manual hex sockets in sizes 10 mm to 32 mm, complying with DIN 3120 - C 12,5, ISO 1174. The ½” square drive sockets are manufactured from GEDORE vanadium steel 31CrV3, ground and chrome-plated.

    Included with the ratchet and sockets are a T-bar, flexible joint and two extension bars (125 mm and 250 mm), all with ½” square drive.

    The socket set is supplied in a sturdy GEDORE sheet steel box, finished in an environmentally-friendly RAL 9007 grey powder-coating. The carry handle allows the box to be comfortably carried for long periods.
