RSS News Feed

The GEDORE Group is now posting its corporate news as a practical RSS feed. With the installation of our RSS feed, you can quickly and conveniently find out the latest news from the GEDORE Group.
In the following, we give some notes about RSS and what programs and settings are required to be able to use this feed.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (or for Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary). Originally developed for transmitting or exchanging messages, it is increasingly being used in the private sector to provide information about targeted themes.
In technical terms, RSS is an XML-based format, in which the content can be read independently of the relevant platform.

What advantages does RSS offer?

The users of our RSS feed are able to keep constantly up to date. They do not need to select from a flood of newsletters, but are able to quickly and effectively check for changes and up-to-date content. In addition to the targeted selection of information, other advantages are the regular delivery and reduction of download times and traffic.

What do I need to use an RSS feed?

To be able to use an RSS feed, a reading program – mostly known an RSS reader or a newsreader – is required. At regular intervals, the newsreader then reads the news feeds to which you have subscribed and alerts you about any new entries. If a new article is of interest to you, you simply click on it and it opens in your browser.
