Measured result A value which is obtained by measurement and assigned to a measured variable.
Measured value transmitters There are measured value transmitters (sensors) with fixed shafts and dynamic (rotating) measured value transmitters with rotating shafts. They can be either permanently installed in the testing device or flexibly fitted externally as a separate element on a basic or display unit.
Measuring accuracy The amount of agreement between the measured result and a true value of the measured variable.
Measuring uncertainty A quantitative measure, with which the quality of the respective measured result from the measuring device is established. It is the deviation between the set and actual values of a testing device. The smaller the measuring uncertainty the more precise and reliable the calibrating results which are achieved.
Measuring/testing range Describes the working range in which measurement or testing should take place.
Metrisches Gewinde Gewindeeinheit in mm Einheit bezogen (System International)
Metrology – worldwide reference system of metrolog Many countries have a nationally-monitored measuring system. These measuring systems within the international association form the worldwide reference system for metrology or measurement techniques. By feeding the quality-relevant measuring and testing equipment back into the factories at the national standards of this reference system, the measured values are comparable throughout the world. Through multi-lateral national agreement (EAL) the DKD calibration certificate for example is recognised throughout the world.
MM Metric unit of measurement in millimetres. Common dimension in Germany.
