Temperguß Eisengusswerkstoff, der nach Abguss hart und spröde ist. Bekommt Dehnung/wird bearbeitbar durch Glühprozess (Tempern)
Tensile strength This gives the extension behaviour of a material under a tensile load (symbol: Rm).
Test certificate Documents the accuracy of a torque tool or measuring tool according to the RAHSOL DREMOTEC factory standard (indirectly traceable to national standards) or according to DKD guidelines (directly traceable to national standards).
Testing equipment The testing equipment is the device (torque wrench or testing device) with which the measuring tool is tested.
Testing equipment administration Listing and archiving of all the testing equipment with corresponding data for calibration results, tolerances, new recalibration dates etc. Mostly held in files.
Testing torque The torque to be applied for testing purposes, e.g. the breakaway torque of a screw connection.
Tightening value Applied torque expressed in numbers
Torque Torque is the force which is applied to an object such as a screw in the form of a turning movement. The most common unit of measurement is the Newton-metre (N·m). Torque = Force x distance.
Torque multiplier These are geared units, whose stepping up or down gear (epicyclic gear) permits higher torques to be applied without great force and with a short lever arm, since the input torque is multiplied exactly by a factor X (the respective transmission ratio).
Torque spanner (or wrench [US Eng.]) Measuring tool for the controlled tightening of screw connections with a preset torque. According to the type of torque spanner, it is also possible to test tightening and releasing torques.
Torsion rod Torsion rods limit the torque to the respective torque value for which they are designed.
Torsional forces The loading of the material by turning. Effect of a rotating force.
Total brake The total brake on a castor are provided to hold the appliance or machine safely and securely when stationary. There are various different types (see Section II)
Traceability The characteristic of measured results, which relate to suitable standards with higher accuracy or right up to national standards through an uninterrupted chain of comparative measurements (calibrations).

Direct traceability:

Direct comparison of the tested object with the national standard (DKD calibration). Here several stages of the calibration pyramid are skipped.

Indirect traceability:

Indirect comparison of the tested object with other standards (factory calibration), which are linked in an uninterrupted chain to the national standard.
